A little about the location: Flekkefjord is a small town of mere 8.500 inhabitans on the south coast of Norway. A pearl in its own name, its located at the very end of a sea-inlet ( fjord), and is well known for its serenity and relaxed way of life. Every year many tourists come to the area to rest their weary selves, and participate in the relaxing environment that is natural to Flekkefjord. Despite the seemingly relaxed state of the area, the industry is in man ways cutting edge. Several shipyards are nearby, and several developers have their offices in and around Flekkefjord. This has created a cluster of knowledge giving Flekkefjord an edge in global competition. Logistically wise its also very well situated – right in the middle of 2 major Norwegian city. With a mere 1,5 hours to either Stavanger ( the oil city) or Kristiansand ( the equipment area for offshore ), and equally 1 ,5 hours to great skislopes and winter activities, Flekkefjord has what it takes to give each and everyone a great life. The city is a quiet city, where sanctity of your home is treasured, and family values are high. This is not the town for those wanting a metropolitan way of life – this is the city for the families who want a nice, safe and quiet life, close to nature and who cherish friendship with down-to-earth people.
