MECHANICAL ENGINEER NEEDED FOR AIR AND PNEUMATICS PRODUCT COMPANY

The client is an innovation company that develops new technologies, new products and business concepts for products within the gas processing, ships and offshore industry.

The mainstream of their technology and development revolves around:

Combustion technology
Applied in all combustion inert gas generator units, where marine diesel, heavy fuel or LNG is burned to produce inert gas.

Membrane Technology
The client is the world leader in gas separation by membranes, and applies its proprietary technology in a variety of patented membrane products. The client was the first company to commercialize hollow fiber membranes for air separation onboard ships and offshore installations. They have fully implemented quality and environmental systems, in accordance with ISO 9001-2000 which is certified by Det Norske Veritas.

Now they need Mechanical Design Engineers with experience within mechanical engineering and electrical engineering ( electronics / oil and pneumatic related)

Main responsibilities will be :

-         Planning designing and building of Inert-gas systems for ship and offshore installations.

-          Designing, planning and installing mini-nitrogen systems to ship and offshore installations

o        Starting with customer wish lists and/or market opportunities, develop cost effective equipment and systems.

o        Diagnose equipment and systems problems and develop solutions

o        Support manufacturing with development of innovative manufacturing methods, jigs and fixtures, and solution to manufacturing problems.

o        Actively seek ways and means to reduce cost of materials and services to keep the company competitive.

o        Interact with regulators, code organizations, and approval agencies for testing and approval of the company’s products.

o        Support sales and marketing with customer service issues.

o        Manage special projects and interact with customers.

Engineers who can document +5 years of relevant experience relevant to this kind of work are suggested to apply.
 Preferred disciplines are

-          Chemical/process engineers

-          Mechanical Design Engineers ( w exp. From oil/offshore/ship )

-          Pneumatics

-          Project planning / leaders w/ experience from relevant businesslines.

-          All of the above, whom also have experience with DRY Inert gas.
